The sudden deaths

Sudden deaths are a heavy blow for family and friends of the deceased. But they also serve as a warning. While it is true that we must live life with joy and good cheer, even under the blows of trials and difficulties, we must not forget that we are not of the world. Yes, the final truth is that we do not belong to the earthly, material world. We pass quickly through here and follow our spiritual path. Death, as the German philosopher Martin Heidegger said, is the moment when being is complete. In spiritism it is not being, but existence that is completed by death.
Every life on Earth, every existence of man on Earth is a process that begins in the cradle and ends in the grave. The Philosophies of Existence say it well: man is a project. Some reach the goal quickly through Sudden Death, others reach it more slowly, but all will have to reach it, today or tomorrow. It is useless, then, to be frightened or bewildered by the phenomenon of death, which is nothing more than a biological phenomenon. Everything that lives dies. Everything, not only man.
Some believe that sudden death is dangerous. Kardec died like that, in the middle of his work. When the creature lived well, sudden death is good, it is an immediate release of the spirit. When the creature did not know how to live, death is always difficult, it represents a crisis in the life of the spirit. And in this case, to live well is to fulfil the duties that correspond to man on earth, not to be attached to material things, as the Gospel teaches. To live well, said the Hindu mystic Ramakrishna, is to live like the milkmaid in the house of the master. To live in the knowledge that the house and the people do not belong to us.
Only the spiritism, among all philosophical, religious and scientific doctrines, has so far objectively investigated the phenomenon of death and can clarify it. Many people do not believe in it. They believe that spiritism is a lunatic, which is not a bad thing so far, because the moon is also ready to be conquered. These people do not know the doctrine and do not know that it is based on the most rigorous scientific research. Those who want to know what death is, how it is processed and what it represents for man, have no other way than to study Spiritism. And that does not cost much, for Spiritism does not even demand that those who study it become spiritists.
