Inés María Fresno Basulto

The spiritist medium Inés María Fresno Basulto was the one who gave continuity to the work carried out by the Mambí Don Lorenzo Cruz when he founded the Amalia Domingo Soler Spiritist Society in 1903, still in operation, and assumed its direction until her disincarnation in 2011. In January 1948, at the request of the then President of the Spiritist Social Union of the East, in Santiago de Cuba, she published a series of mediumistic works, among which the following stand out:
The Story of Julia Hernandez, the young suicide’ Revelations of other existences, dictated by an entity from Space. There she says: "I accepted the task of preaching and practising Spiritism. Since then I have been devoted to the externalisation of the manifestations of the inhabitants of a world that is not far from humanity, but is the continuous link of our lives and our struggles (...) I declare myself to be a Spiritist, as well as a mediumistic instrument, to whom all that is contained in this small volume, the first of a series that I will publish in the same form, is dictated".
Other works by her that were also published: "The facts of the past show us the present". "Who was yesterday the beggar's son for his parents today?" Given the evidence of her spiritist formation and on the basis of the authenticity of her mediumistic productions, Enrique Rosell Carbo, director of the newspaper Periodico "Spiritist Social Unión" affirmed:
"Now, in a tenacious work for many years, the Spiritist Social Union of the East begins to present to the spiritists of Cuba and the world, the positive values of the Doctrine, whose dedication has achieved what few have achieved in the trajectory travelled".
