The Centre "Santiago Apóstol", located in Galicito - Manzanillo, was founded by Birgilio Reyes in 1959, who came from the Canary Islands. Enrique Rodríguez Martínez and Francisco Rodríguez Martínez, both brothers born in Niquero, helped him in the management of the Centre. They both developed spiritually in the centre Los Apostolados, founded by Juan Bautista Lavié, who came from France. In 1973, 26th October, the last of the three, Enrique Rodriguez, disincarnated and his son Euripe Rodriguez, who disincarnated in 2007, continued the mission. The mission was then continued by Mrs. Aida Peña who, due to her age, is no longer able to continue with the leadership. Félix Montaña Ortiz has been leading the mission for the last 10 years.
