On 19 July 2026, in a moving gathering filled with fellowship and spirituality, the Spiritist Federation of Holguín celebrated the centenary of the Spiritual Centre Fe, Esperanza y Caridad, located in the municipality of Banes, more than 80 kilometres from the city of Holguín. As the oldest centre in the municipality and one of the few in the province to have maintained uninterrupted activity for 100 years, it represents an important pillar of the Spiritist movement in Holguín. The celebration brought together brothers and sisters from several nearby centres, as well as members of the local community, to commemorate this significant milestone.

Unfortunately, transport difficulties prevented many brothers and sisters living in more distant areas from attending. The centre is located approximately 15 kilometres from the municipal seat, making it difficult for those living further away to participate. Despite these logistical challenges, the gathering was warm and filled with light. Spiritual instruction, which enriched the occasion and strengthened the bonds of unity among those present, was naturally an essential part of the celebration. In recognition of its long-standing history, Rigoberto Vecino Sánchez, President of the Spiritist Federation of Holguín, presented a well-deserved certificate marking the 100th anniversary of the Spiritual Centre Fe, Esperanza y Caridad.
