Martha Gallego Thomaz\u2019\u0131n spiritizmdeki miras\u0131 tart\u0131\u015f\u0131lmazd\u0131r ve \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 S\u00e3o Paulo Eyaleti Spiritist Federasyonu\u2019nun (FEESP) tarihiyle i\u00e7 i\u00e7e ge\u00e7mi\u015ftir. O d\u00f6nemde \u00f6\u011fretiye yeni ba\u015flayan ve medyumik yetenekleri konusunda g\u00fcvensizlik duyan insanlara yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 iyilikler, bug\u00fcn h\u00e2l\u00e2 onun \u00f6zverisine ve \u00f6\u011fretme becerisine minnet duyan say\u0131s\u0131z ki\u015finin tan\u0131kl\u0131klar\u0131yla kan\u0131tlanmaktad\u0131r. Bir\u00e7ok ki\u015fi onun ne\u015fesini, m\u00fczikal y\u00f6n\u00fcn\u00fc, Noel Rosa\u2019n\u0131n ruhuyla (1910\u20131937) kurdu\u011fu ortakl\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve Edgard Armond (1894\u20131982) ile olan dostlu\u011funu ve \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131 hat\u0131rlar. Bilgiye olan aray\u0131\u015f\u0131 ve \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma gruplar\u0131 olu\u015fturma ile \u00f6\u011fretiye yeni kat\u0131l\u0131mc\u0131lar kazand\u0131rma konusundaki yetene\u011fi, onu S\u00e3o Paulo\u2019daki spiritist alan\u0131n \u00f6nc\u00fclerinden biri yapm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Rio de Janeiro do\u011fumlu olan Martha, 24 Mart 1915\u2019te d\u00fcnyaya gelmi\u015f, ikisi dikte ettirilmi\u015f ve \u00fc\u00e7\u00fc psikografi yoluyla yaz\u0131lm\u0131\u015f be\u015f kitab\u0131n yazar\u0131d\u0131r; bunlar aras\u0131nda Evrensel Karde\u015flik Enstit\u00fcs\u00fc ve Uzay\u0131n Karde\u015flikleri (FEESP) de bulunmaktad\u0131r. Martha, \u00f6\u011fretinin temel ilkeleri bilinmedi\u011finde medyumik yeteneklerin yol a\u00e7abilece\u011fi ac\u0131y\u0131 iyi biliyordu. \u00dc\u00e7 ya\u015f\u0131ndan itibaren ruhlar\u0131 g\u00f6rmeye ba\u015flad\u0131; bu deneyim Katolik ailesi taraf\u0131ndan zor ve anla\u015f\u0131lmas\u0131 g\u00fc\u00e7 bulunuyordu. Bu durum ancak on iki ya\u015f\u0131na geldi\u011finde de\u011fi\u015fti; Rio de Janeiro\u2019daki teyzesi onu yan\u0131na \u00e7a\u011f\u0131rarak, o s\u0131rada bir psikiyatri hastanesinde bulunan babas\u0131 i\u00e7in birlikte uzaktan bir tedavi yapmay\u0131 teklif etti. Teyzesinin evinde, ola\u011fan\u00fcst\u00fc yeteneklere sahip bir medyumla kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131lar. Bu ki\u015fi Martha\u2019ya korkmamas\u0131n\u0131 s\u00f6yledi, \u00e7\u00fcnk\u00fc korku onu rahats\u0131z eden ruhu \u00e7ekiyordu. Arkada\u015flar\u0131n\u0131n tavsiyesiyle umbanda toplant\u0131lar\u0131na kat\u0131lmaya ba\u015flad\u0131 ve burada \u00fc\u00e7 y\u0131l kald\u0131; ard\u0131ndan, medyumik yeteneklerini e\u011fitebilece\u011fi bir spiritist merkeze gitmesi \u00f6nerildi. Bunun \u00fczerine S\u00e3o Paulo eyaletindeki Atibaia\u2019ya ta\u015f\u0131nd\u0131 ve Dona Eletra\u2019n\u0131n merkezine gitmeye ba\u015flad\u0131; burada Noel Rosa\u2019n\u0131n ruhuyla ilk temas\u0131n\u0131 ya\u015fad\u0131. Birlikte fiziksel fenomen seanslar\u0131 d\u00fczenliyorlard\u0131 ve ruhlar taraf\u0131ndan s\u00fcrekli olarak \u00f6\u011frenmenin gereklili\u011fi hat\u0131rlat\u0131l\u0131yordu. Bu durum Martha\u2019n\u0131n 1956 y\u0131l\u0131nda ba\u015fkentteki Spiritist Federasyonuna kat\u0131lmas\u0131na yol a\u00e7t\u0131; burada bilgisini derinle\u015ftirdi ve g\u00f6revine daha iyi haz\u0131rlanma f\u0131rsat\u0131 buldu. Orada Armond onu bir teste tabi tuttu; kapal\u0131 bir zarf\u0131n i\u00e7inde ne oldu\u011funu s\u00f6ylemesini istedi ve Martha do\u011fru cevap verdi.
