Rudolf Steiner naci\u00f3 el 27 de febrero de 1861 en Kraljevec, antigua Hungr\u00eda, hoy Croacia (en la foto, de pie, con su hermana peque\u00f1a). Pas\u00f3 su infancia en Pottschach. Su padre trabajaba all\u00ed como telegrafista para los Ferrocarriles Austriacos del Sur. La familia, a la que con los a\u00f1os se unieron una hermana y un hermano, viv\u00eda en el edificio de la estaci\u00f3n, justo al lado de las v\u00edas del tren. Este entorno le permiti\u00f3 experimentar la polaridad de la naturaleza y la tecnolog\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A los 18 a\u00f1os, Rudolf Steiner comenz\u00f3 a estudiar en la Universidad T\u00e9cnica de Viena. All\u00ed estudi\u00f3 inicialmente biolog\u00eda, qu\u00edmica, f\u00edsica y matem\u00e1ticas. Sin embargo, sus preguntas internas se centraron en la naturaleza del hombre y se dedic\u00f3 cada vez m\u00e1s a la filosof\u00eda. El fen\u00f3meno de la \u00abconciencia del yo\u00bb se convirti\u00f3 en uno de sus estudios centrales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A los 29 a\u00f1os, Rudolf Steiner entr\u00f3 a trabajar en el Archivo Goethe-Schiller de Weimar. Adem\u00e1s de los escritos cient\u00edficos de Goethe, publica la edici\u00f3n completa de Schopenhauer y Jean Paul (publicada por Cotta), escribe cuatro libros, entre ellos \u00abLa filosof\u00eda de la libertad\u00bb e inicia su actividad como conferenciante. Conoce a personalidades como Ernst Haeckel, Hermann Grimm y Friedrich Nietzsche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durante su estancia en Berl\u00edn, trabaja como redactor de la revista Magazin f\u00fcr Literatur (Revista de Literatura) y como profesor en la Arbeiter-Bildungsschule (Escuela de formaci\u00f3n laboral). Lleg\u00f3 a ser presidente del c\u00edrculo \u00abDie Kommenden\u00bb (Los que vienen), en el que se reun\u00eda semanalmente con la escena art\u00edstica y cultural contempor\u00e1nea. Sus conferencias en c\u00edrculos teos\u00f3ficos constituyeron la base de su Sociedad Antropos\u00f3fica, fundada en 1913.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Con el traslado a Dornach y la construcci\u00f3n del Goetheanum, la antroposof\u00eda comenz\u00f3 a hacerse visible en el mundo. Steiner dio la vuelta a muchas cosas en muchos \u00e1mbitos de la vida y puso en pie cosas nuevas. Dio un nuevo impulso a la educaci\u00f3n, la medicina, la agricultura, el arte, la religi\u00f3n y la pol\u00edtica, que sigue teniendo repercusiones hoy en d\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durante este tiempo, se interes\u00f3 mucho por las inquietudes interiores de otras personas y estuvo en contacto con muchos contempor\u00e1neos famosos, como Else Lasker Sch\u00fcler, Rainer Maria Rilke, Andrej Belyi, Ernst Haeckel y Hermann Grimm. A los 33 a\u00f1os escribi\u00f3 su principal obra filos\u00f3fica, La filosof\u00eda de la libertad, fundamento de la ciencia espiritual antropos\u00f3fica, que profundiz\u00f3 y ampli\u00f3 en una treintena de publicaciones posteriores. Tambi\u00e9n public\u00f3 numerosos art\u00edculos, ensayos y rese\u00f1as sobre historia cultural y contempor\u00e1nea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
