Lauro Michielin<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019avocat et professeur de sociologie Lauro Michielin est n\u00e9 en 1920. Issu d\u2019une famille catholique, il a \u00e9tudi\u00e9, durant son adolescence, dans un internat dirig\u00e9 par des pr\u00eatres \u00e0 Campinas, dans l\u2019\u00c9tat de S\u00e3o Paulo. Il est cependant devenu ath\u00e9e, ne pouvant croire aux dogmes religieux qui lui avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 impos\u00e9s et avec lesquels il \u00e9tait en d\u00e9saccord, les jugeant absurdes et irrationnels. Ainsi, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 sa d\u00e9couverte du Spiritisme, Lauro Michielin se d\u00e9clarait ath\u00e9e, car il ne pouvait accepter une foi qui ne reposait pas sur la raison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u2019est \u00e0 la Facult\u00e9 de droit du Largo de S\u00e3o Francisco qu\u2019il eut son premier contact avec les ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes et les manifestations de la vie spirituelle. Dans la pension o\u00f9 il habitait, apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9teint la lumi\u00e8re de sa chambre pour aller dormir, il entendit plusieurs coups frapp\u00e9s contre les meubles et se demanda d\u2019o\u00f9 ils pouvaient provenir. Il ralluma la lumi\u00e8re, et les coups cess\u00e8rent. S\u2019agissait-il de souris ? Apr\u00e8s avoir v\u00e9rifi\u00e9, il ne trouva rien. Il \u00e9teignit de nouveau la lumi\u00e8re, et les m\u00eames coups recommenc\u00e8rent. Il envisagea alors la possibilit\u00e9 qu\u2019il puisse s\u2019agir d\u2019un esprit. Un coup particuli\u00e8rement fort, frapp\u00e9 imm\u00e9diatement apr\u00e8s, sembla confirmer son hypoth\u00e8se, comme si quelqu\u2019un lisait dans ses pens\u00e9es. Il pensa alors : \u00ab Si tu es un esprit ami, frappe une fois ; si tu es un esprit ennemi, frappe deux fois. \u00bb Un seul coup r\u00e9pondit \u00e0 sa question de mani\u00e8re encourageante. \u00c0 partir de ce moment, il poursuivit ce dialogue d\u2019investigation, bien que de fa\u00e7on tr\u00e8s limit\u00e9e, en posant des questions auxquelles il ne pouvait \u00eatre r\u00e9pondu que par oui (un coup) ou non (deux coups).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lauro Michielin fut le concepteur du projet architectural et le premier pr\u00e9sident du Sanatorium Spirite Antonio Luiz Say\u00e3o, un h\u00f4pital de plus de 700 lits qui, lors de son inauguration, figurait parmi les dix plus grands h\u00f4pitaux du Br\u00e9sil. Aujourd\u2019hui, il est connu sous le nom de Cl\u00ednica Say\u00e3o. Pour comprendre l\u2019ampleur du d\u00e9fi auquel fut confront\u00e9 ce groupe de courageux id\u00e9alistes, il faut se rappeler que, dans les ann\u00e9es 1950, il fallait beaucoup de courage pour d\u00e9fendre le Spiritisme et ses id\u00e9aux, consid\u00e9r\u00e9s par beaucoup comme une \u00ab \u0153uvre du diable \u00bb. Cette prise de position valut \u00e0 Lauro Michielin une excommunication publique, prononc\u00e9e au cours d\u2019une c\u00e9r\u00e9monie par le chanoine de l\u2019\u00e9glise paroissiale d\u2019Araras, qui soutenait que ces campagnes d\u00e9tournaient des ressources pr\u00e9cieuses et importantes qui auraient d\u00fb \u00eatre destin\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9glise catholique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De nombreuses ann\u00e9es plus tard, le m\u00eame chanoine, alors \u00e2g\u00e9 et presque aveugle, assista aux fun\u00e9railles de Lauro Michielin, accompagn\u00e9 du pr\u00eatre qui lui avait succ\u00e9d\u00e9. Avec humilit\u00e9, il demanda la permission \u00e0 sa veuve, Aparecida Crepscki Michielin, et lui administra le sacrement de l\u2019Onction des malades. Lauro Michielin fit \u00e9galement partie de l\u2019\u00e9quipe responsable de la cr\u00e9ation de l\u2019Anu\u00e1rio Esp\u00edrita, l\u2019une des publications de diffusion du Spiritisme les plus prestigieuses. L\u2019Anu\u00e1rio Esp\u00edrita fut \u00e0 l\u2019origine de la cr\u00e9ation de l\u2019IDE (Instituto de Difus\u00e3o Esp\u00edrita de Araras), qui c\u00e9l\u00e9bra son cinquanti\u00e8me anniversaire en 2013 et se consacre \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9dition et \u00e0 la diffusion d\u2019ouvrages spirites au Br\u00e9sil ainsi que dans de nombreux autres pays du monde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il a laiss\u00e9 une pr\u00e9cieuse contribution bibliographique, parmi laquelle figurent notamment Au-del\u00e0 des fronti\u00e8res du monde (Al\u00e9m das Fronteiras do Mundo), Vers l\u2019Infini (Rumo ao Infinito), La Palestine au temps de J\u00e9sus (Palestina no Tempo de Jesus), entre autres ouvrages. Ces publications furent \u00e9dit\u00e9es dans le but de recueillir des fonds destin\u00e9s \u00e0 la construction du Sanatorium Antonio Luiz Say\u00e3o. Lauro Michielin est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 des suites d\u2019un accident de la route le 24 juin 1976.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
