He exercised his profession with great rectitude: he was an example of efficiency in the professional field. He always helped anyone who asked for help, even if they could not pay him for his services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-635adc0e3d2663adc9ed2002d17046d0\">He was as great in his conduct as in his modesty. Weakened by a persistent illness, in 1914, having consulted several doctors without positive results, he was cured by the medium Saturnino Favila, in the city of Alagoi\u00f1as, with passes and fluidified water, complementing the cure with some remedies of Medicinal Plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-fb16e3a00d30d1ed97f27e46e5e49005\">At that time, on a trip to Salvador, he met Jos\u00e9 Petitinga, who invited him to attend the Union Espirita Baiana. From then on, Filomeno de Miranda became interested in the study and practice of Spiritism, becoming one of the strongest followers of its teachings. A faithful disciple of Petitinga, he was a true ambassador of the Spiritist Movement of Bahia, with the capacity to resolve all the pertinent matters of the Spiritism Centres. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-383b166074c869a1698f57fd6d82fe2c\">In the service of the Cause, he periodically visited the Spiritualist Societies of the Capital and the Interior, seeking solutions to any difficulty.
