In the subtle envelopes, lies the real cause of disease. We are heirs of our past actions, both good and bad. Karma or the \"account of destiny created by ourselves\" is imprinted on the causal body. These records flow into the other bodies and end up determining the balance or imbalance of the vital and physical fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not all physical imbalances, however, originate from karmic (past) accounts; though they reflect the spiritual state of the individual, they are generated by his present conduct. The vices of the mind, known as selfishness, pride, vanity, tyranny, laziness, etc., are causes of manifold ailments, for they constitute the motive of our actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"When our mind, by acts contrary to Divine Law, impairs the harmony of any of these force centres of our soul, it naturally becomes enslaved to the effects of the unbalancing action, and forces itself to the work of readjustment. Such is the vice of thought, such will be the disharmony in the centre of force, which reacts in our body to this or that kind of mental influence\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Spiritual Teachers, there are two ailments which can afflict the perispirit and which are at the root of many psychophysical pathologies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Adynamia is the hypotension in the circulatory movement of the forces that maintain the spiritual body; it results from remorse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 Hyperdynamia is the state of hypertension in the circulatory movement of forces; it results from delusions of the imagination. There are many others, but for us it is still a practically unknown field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the technologies are discovered that will enable us to examine the subtle sheaths and chakras in depth, medicine will change radically, because we will work much more preventively, thus avoiding the lengthy, highly invasive surgeries that are performed at present, even though great progress has already been made in this area. Doctors will have the opportunity to know in detail the transdimensional physiology, understanding better the way the various envelopes are mixed, in order to better assist in the maintenance of the mental-physical hygiene of their patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Virtually all discomforts have their roots in the perispirit. Even when apparently healthy, a person may carry latent dysfunctions in his Force Centres or Chakras, acquired in this or other lives, which, sooner or later, will surface in the physical body, in the form of more or less serious ailments, according to the extent of the injury and the mental position of the debtor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Ian Stevenson of the University of Virginia, USA, presents in two volumes of the book Reincarnation and Biology, among the 2.600 cases investigated, those of birthmarks and birth defects, elucidated by the study of past lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To better understand the reason for human ailments and suffering, let us seek the lessons of the Teacher Clarentius:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"The discomforts known in the world, and others which still elude human diagnosis, will long persist in the tortured spheres of the soul, leading to readjustment. Pain is the great and blessed remedy. It re-educates our mental activity, restructuring the pieces of our instrumentation and polishing the soul envelopes which our intelligence uses to develop on the journey to eternal life. After the power of God, it is the only force capable of altering the course of our thoughts, compelling us to make indispensable modifications, with a view to the Divine Plane, in our regard, and from the execution of which we cannot escape without serious damage to ourselves\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Normal and pathological changes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Perispirit, thanks to the innumerable properties of its electromagnetic structure, is subject to small or intense modifications, which lead to changes in its form of presentation. It is necessary to distinguish between those which are normal or physiological, and others, which are pathological, resulting from diseases of the soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an example of physiological modifications, we have the miniaturisation or automatic reduction in size to baby form, a natural, physiological phenomenon, occurring thousands of years ago, with all spirits, in the process of reincarnation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In disembodiment, there are also changes considered physiological, such as histogenesis (formation of new tissues) and hystolysis (destruction of tissues), during the process of separation of the soul from the body, which is aimed at adapting the perispirit to its new functions on the spiritual plane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pathologies of the Perispirit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The perispirit can present deformations and other more radical changes in form, such as zoanthropies, animal-shaped presentation, and ovoidisation, due to its properties of plasticity, density, etc. We cannot forget that it is a magnetic structure, extremely plastic and porous, and very susceptible to the mental influence of the Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deformations and Zoanthropy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the book Liberation, a case of perispiritual deformation is observed in an incarnated lady, who takes her nap on a couch in her house. Leaving the physical body, under the effect of sleep, her perispirit let her lower spiritual condition show through. The lady became unrecognisable. Her face bore the marks of the witches of old children's stories: her mouth, eyes, nose and ears revealed something monstrous, in stark contrast to her physical appearance, which showed traces of beauty and haughtiness in her dress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On seeing it, Andr\u00e9 Luiz was reminded of Oscar Wilde's book, The Portrait of Dorian Gray. In it, as the owner became intimately altered by the practice of evil, the portrait took on a hideous expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, we learn from this case that Wilde's imagination did not fantasise. Man and woman, by their thoughts, attitudes, words and deeds, create, in their innermost being, the true spiritual form in which they clothe themselves. \"Every crime, every fall, leaves hideous deformities and grooves in the field of the soul, just as every generous deed and every superior thought adds beauty and perfection to the perispiritic form, within which the real individuality manifests itself, usually after the death of the dense body. There are beautiful and admirable creatures in the flesh who are, at bottom, real mental monsters, just as there are tortured and detested bodies in the world concealing angelic spirits of heavenly beauty\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The perispirit can undergo even more profound alterations, leaving its human form, to present itself as that of an animal. This is the phenomenon known generically as Zoanthropy, but the best known process is Lycanthropy - transformation into a wolf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ovoid parasites<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Spirits may lose the human form of presentation of their perispirit, emerging as ovoid spheres. These are little larger than a human skull, varying greatly in particulars; some have movement of their own, as if they were large amoebas, others appear at rest, apparently inert, bound to the vital halo of other entities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Evolution in Two Worlds, Andr\u00e9 Luiz explains that innumerable disincarnated people, possessed by the idea of doing justice with their own hands or attached to vile vices, by repeating these degrading images infinitely, end up in a deplorable monoideistic fixation, outside the notions of space and time, suffering, then, enormous transformations in the morphology of the perispirit. Due to lack of function, the organs of this subtle body are withdrawn, and the ovoid form emerges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the psychic situation of these ovoids? Most of them sleep in strange nightmares, incapable of greater externalisation. They are, in truth, \"mental foetuses or amoebas, mobilisable, however, by perverse or rebellious entities\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do they remain in reincarnation?
