Good parents protect their children, but give them the freedom to gain their own experiences, make their own mistakes and go their own way. Only in this way can they become independent, responsible and mature adults, with their feet on the ground. This is also the reason why God, our heavenly Father, gave us humans free will. This allows us to make experiences and mistakes from which we can learn and ultimately grow and mature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-f253ea7c616e131ebfceb31423713a3c\">This enables us to realise our true heavenly nature and the nature of God. But the highest and noblest use of our free will comes at the end of realisation. It is when we freely and consciously decide to put aside all our personal desires, needs, fears and all our ego and submit ourselves completely to the will of God. For when we are willing to do this, we will also realise that we need not fear anything or anyone if we entrust ourselves completely to God. We will also realise that, although we hardly ever get what we want and imagine, we always get exactly what is really good for us. Our little ego only thinks it knows what is good for us and what we need, but God really knows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-small-font-size wp-elements-1df192271b3155a3e6887f0135c1483e\">Trust in God, our heavenly Father, and we will never go wrong again. No matter how difficult and rocky the path He shows us, no matter how hard and unfair the lessons and trials He imposes on us may seem, He makes it all happen for our good. God sees the whole picture, we see only a small part of it. And at the end of the road, each of us will kneel down of our own free will and say, \u2018Thank you, Father, for all you have done for me. Thank you for never letting me down. In stormy times and through hard trials, when I too began to insult you, to curse you, to ignore your existence, you never let go of my hand. And even when I abandoned you, you stood firmly by my side, protecting me, even from myself. For truly, I now recognise your goodness and mercy and how infinitely great is your love for me and for all your creatures.
