The duties of the Spiritists<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Every spiritist is aware that he has two fundamental duties to perform. The first of these is to work for his own spiritual progress. The second is to contribute to the progress of his brethren by assisting in their improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to fulfil both duties, the spiritualist must first learn, and in order to learn it is necessary to study. Spiritualists must be very studious. In this sense, the spiritualist must develop the humility to be taught, but at the same time he must become a teacher, for to instruct is one of the most outstanding tasks of every spiritualist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The knowledge that Spiritualists must provide is composed of two parts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Christian Moral Teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Teaching of the spiritist Doctrine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christian morality is learned in the gospel of Jesus, and the fundamentals of spiritualism are studied in the books written by those great spirits such as Allan Kardec, to whom our Father entrusted the task of codifying the doctrine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every spiritist knows that he must fight against vices and ignorance. Above all things, spiritists have a high duty to set an example. Example is the best of teachers; spiritists must live an honest life and faithfully perform all their duties. This is the noble task which it is the lot of spiritualists to perform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a task that requires much devotion and self-denial, for it is a great and divine mission, yet no spiritualist should boast of what he is doing, for he is only fulfilling his obligation to the Father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this reason, every spiritist, at the conclusion of the day's work, should pray to the Father and say from the bottom of his heart, \u2018Father, I am your servant and I have just done my duty today.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
