How can we be blessed?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\n

And when Jesus saw the great multitude, he went up the mountain, and when he sat down, his disciples came to him, and he taught them, saying:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. \u00abBlessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. The Kingdom of Heaven belongs to the poor in spirit, because God does not want the proud. Being proud implies arrogance, vanity and excessive self-esteem, which is sometimes concealable by being born of noble and virtuous causes; such behaviour makes it difficult for us to reach the Father. For this reason, Jesus calls all those who are not proud poor in spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. \u00abBlessed are the meek: for they shall possess the earth. To be meek is to be gentle, benevolent, pious, docile and mild; to be violent, on the other hand, is to have a hot-tempered or impetuous temper, and to be easily carried away by anger. We know that the violent will have to incarnate in lower worlds until they become tame; therefore, let us discard any violent traits. Let us not forget that little by little the wicked will be expelled from Earth and only the good will incarnate here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. \u00abBlessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted\u2019. Earth is a world of atonements and trials, that is why there is so much suffering. In this sense, those who suffer, endure, tolerate or bear their trials; they correct with their pain, sorrow, grief or affliction, the errors of the past. Those who make amends for their mistakes satisfy divine justice. Therefore let us not lose sight of the fact that when we rid ourselves of our mistakes, we shall cease to suffer and receive gentle consolations in the spiritual world. Not for nothing did Jesus say that those who mourn will be comforted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. \u00abBlessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall have their fill. Divine justice is unshakeable. In due time it compensates the righteous or innocent, the simple and those who do not harm others; yet it punishes the guilty or those who deliberately harm others. That is why Jesus said that the Father will take into account all those who ask for justice and righteousness, and in that way their desires for the reign of good will be fully satisfied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. \u00abBlessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy\u2019. The merciful are happy because they use mercy towards their neighbour. Whoever treats his neighbour with mercy is moved by the labours, miseries and adversities they suffer. Therefore, if we wish to attain divine mercy, let us show fraternity and charity to all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. \u00abBlessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God\u2019. We know that God is a pure spirit. To see God it is necessary for us also to be pure, honest and free and free from moral imperfections. We are aware that we will attain such a condition if we continue to study and practice the divine teachings, which in time will imply our spiritual and moral progress; only in this way will the Father consider us as pure and clean-hearted people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. \u00abBlessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called Sons of God\u2019. Peaceful are those who do not harm anyone either by words or actions, who are serene and do not provoke strife or discord. When the spiritist works for the peace and tranquillity of his environment, he becomes a happy person because he lives in total harmony with others; and in view of such a course of action, Jesus will consider him a true child of God.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
